second floor space design

Cisco Meraki has grown at a fantastic rate over the years. And that means that we were at limits in terms of space and needed to expand.

For about a year, I worked as design lead with the head of our facilities and architecture firm O+A to create a new space that was fresh and exciting, yet still embodied that unique Meraki spirit.

one — the process

The Cisco Meraki second floor provides an array of working environments and options for an expanding workforce with two main social hubs as well a variety of unique meeting areas.

Objectives

  • The feel of the new floor needed to feel like a part of the rest of the office, but still have a unique and fresh energy.

Functional Needs

  • A flexible floor plan that allowed for plenty of relaxing, soft seating, but could convert to more desks as our employees increase.

  • An increase the number of meeting spaces and having those spaces meet a variety of size and meeting style needs.

  • Accommodate a wide variety of working styles and job needs
